The current idol is carved out of one single stone. This stone is chosen from Kushewada-maati a nearby village. It is said that the stone was used to emit OM-KAR sound which has been heard by many villagers. From that hilly location this stone was brought down to the main village road and a very powerful Shri Dev Vetoba idol was carved. Once the idol was completed on a pious day along with a series of religious offerings and celebrations this idol was brought and placed by the temple priests in the Shri Vetoba's temple sanctum sanctorum as the chief deity of the Parule village.
